As part of NSW Health’s Rural Ambulance Infrastructure Renewal program, Upbuild Constructions were engaged to refurbish, reconfigure, and revitalise the Raymond Terrace Ambulance Station, due to the station’s state of dilapidation. The works included building a large overhanging shelter and a customised steel mobility access ramp, installing kitchen cabinetry, supplying and laying carpet and vinyl flooring, renovating multiple bathrooms and revamping office workspaces. Delivering this project throughout the start of the covid pandemic, among front-line workers, was one of the hardest challenges the team have had to face to date. Despite this, Upbuild met and exceeded detailed requirements, working to extremely tight timeframes and worked through client changes on-the-go with ease. The workmanship and quality of finishes are, to this day, still complimented on by station paramedics.

Being a Registered and Certified tenderer for NSW Ambulance (NSWA), UpBuild Constructions undertook the refurbishing and reconfiguring of Raymond Terrace Ambulance Station in accordance with the set Scope of Works.

Ambulance station and staff were relocated off site ensuring that construction was undertaken with the highest efficiency, without delay to set time frames and without compromise to the services offered by Ambulance NSW.

The works undertaken were many, including both major modifications and minor cosmetic works, to enhance the daily operations of Ambulance NSW in accordance with their scope of works.

The entry at the rear of the Ambulance Station allowed for a large overhang shelter that featured 10mm black shadow lines in the eaves and outdoor soffits, as well as the installation of a commercial grade stainless steel wash basin and a customised steel mobility access ramp.

The internal design and use of materials were undertaken with precision in accordance with the scope of works as set out by Ambulance NSW.

Commercial grade carpet tiles, vinyl plank mountain oak flooring was sourced and laid as well as commercial grade smoke and weather sealed acoustic doors and steel jambs.

Supply and installation of kitchen joinery cupboards with laminated tops, prime oak polytec woodmatt doors and 10mm bridge style black handles. The sink included a boiling and chilled water mixer.

The unisex bathroom consisted of a shower area, two WC’s, with features such as IXL Tastic light heater, recess lighting, stainless steel mobility grab rails, ceramic warm grey in colour floor tiles, commercial grade windows and screens.

I am happy to recommend “Upbuild Constructions” for future projects. UpBuild Constructions has carried out refurbishments and station enhancements for NSW Ambulance (NSWA).

NSWA projects require very detailed coordination due to station operations and specific design to suit specialised needs. UpBuild Constructions met all those requirements, not to mention meeting extremely tight time frames and worked through client changes as the projects went along.
More importantly the quality of the work is great, in fact I often receive compliments from station paramedics on the finishes.
