RAYMOND TERRACE AMBULANCE STATION

Snapshot:

  • Project – Raymond Terrace Ambulance Station

  • Timeline – Jan to Mar 2020 (completed in less than 12 week timeframe)

  • Budget – $320k

As part of NSW Health’s Rural Ambulance Infrastructure Renewal program, Upbuild Constructions were engaged to refurbish, reconfigure, and revitalise the Raymond Terrace Ambulance Station, due to the station’s state of dilapidation. The works included building a large overhanging shelter and a customised steel mobility access ramp, installing kitchen cabinetry, supplying and laying carpet and vinyl flooring, renovating multiple bathrooms and revamping office workspaces. Delivering this project throughout the start of the covid pandemic, among front-line workers, was one of the hardest challenges the team have had to face to date. Despite this, Upbuild met and exceeded detailed requirements, working to extremely tight timeframes and worked through client changes on-the-go with ease. The workmanship and quality of finishes are, to this day, still complimented on by station paramedics.

Being a Registered and Certified tenderer for NSW Ambulance (NSWA), UpBuild Constructions undertook the refurbishing and reconfiguring of Raymond Terrace Ambulance Station in accordance with the set Scope of Works.

Ambulance station and staff were relocated off site ensuring that construction was undertaken with the highest efficiency, without delay to set time frames and without compromise to the services offered by Ambulance NSW.

The works undertaken were many, including both major modifications and minor cosmetic works, to enhance the daily operations of Ambulance NSW in accordance with their scope of works.
